Beyond its stylish exterior, this bag is designed with functionality in mind with a sturdy strap, a large center pocket, and an antler clasp.
About Our Leather:
In our efforts to utilize the entirety of the animal, we also cure our cattle hides to preserve them. At small abbatoirs like we use, hides are most often discarded, doing a disservice to the animal and adding excess material to our landfills. With a little work and planning, we can turn what is otherwise a wasted material into beautifully crafted products.
After our hides are cured, Pergamena Tannery in upstate New York performs a vegetable tan process to turn them into leather. Vegetable tanning utilizes plant derivatives that provide natural tannins instead of more common and chemically laden chromium tanning, which utilizes very harsh chemicals and is harmful to the environment and surrounding communities.
We've partnered with Larkins in Marshall to create some one of-a-kind Kinloch Farm leather pieces like this purse.
